Discover why the Au Vodka Strawberry Burst England Football Edition makes a standout gift for football fans, with practical buying advice and trade-offs.
Quick answer
The Au Vodka Strawberry Burst England Football Edition is a thoughtful, themed gift for football fans who enjoy flavored vodka, especially at its discounted price under £50. It combines a five-times distilled award-winning vodka with a sweet strawberry taste and an iconic England design.
Why this edition stands out as a gift
The England Football Edition packaging is the main draw—it's designed for match day pride and makes the bottle feel like a collectible rather than just a drink. The strawberry burst flavor is sweet and approachable, which works well for casual drinkers who might find plain vodka too harsh.
At the catalog comparison price of £34.99, it's already under £50, and the current price of £24.14 makes it a budget-friendly option for a premium-branded gift. The 70cl size is standard for a bottle, so it fits easily into a gift bag or hamper.
Trade-offs to consider
The flavor is sweet and fruity, which may not appeal to purists who prefer unflavored vodka or dry spirits. If the recipient is a traditional vodka drinker, a classic Au Vodka Gold or VIP Black Grape might be a better fit.
The England Football design is very specific—it's perfect for an England supporter but could feel out of place for someone who follows a different team or isn't into football at all. The themed bottle also limits its versatility as a generic host gift.
How to decide if this gift is right
- Know the recipient's taste: If they enjoy sweet, fruity flavors and aren't strict vodka purists, this bottle will be a hit. For dry or classic vodka lovers, look for an unflavored option.
- Match the occasion: This is ideal for a football-themed party, a gift for an England fan, or a match day host present. It's less suitable for a formal dinner or a non-football setting.
- Check the price value: At £24.14 (down from £34.99), it offers strong value for a premium-branded, limited-edition bottle. If the price rises back to full retail, weigh whether the themed design still justifies the cost. Buy now if the discount is active and the recipient fits the profile.
